RAPHAEL
Pathway
of Fire
Initiation to
the Kabbalah
This brief exposition of the Kabbalah offers
us the key by which to understand the exact
configuration of the Sephirothic Tree, by way of
the middle course, or the pathway of fire. The
combination of the disparate spiritual paths of the
Kabbalah and the Indian Vedanta system is an
unusual but brilliant way to bring forth this
knowledge. The Kabbalah can also be divided
into two parts - the first considers the unfolding
of universal manifestation, and is similar to the
Indian Samkhya. The second includes the
metaphysical view of the Kabbalistic Ain Soph.
Raphael aims to contribute toward the kabbalistic
study and talks to those students who want to
emerge from the strictly magical viewpoint to see
an initiatory realisation. Includes a discussion of
sex and sexual magic in the Kabbalah as a
way to travel to find one's own essence.
Raphael is the founder of the Asram Vidya Order in
Italy. He has spent over thirty-five years studying
the spiritual experience-combining the Orphic
Tradition with the work of Plato, Parmenides,
Plotinus, the Western metaphysical tradition, and
study of the Vedanta tradition (India). He is the
author of ten books that describe the pathway of
non-duality. He presently lives in a hermitage
connected to the ashram and devotes himself
completely to a vow of silence.

Essence
and Purpose of Yoga
The
Initiatory Pathways to the Transcendent
"If
we speak of Realisation or Liberation, there is
something in us that is not realised, which is not
complete or which is held in thrall. Therefore, we
must try to understand what it is in us that is
enslaved or is in a state of unfulfilment."
Much more than a system of physical exercise for
health, Yoga is a complex and ancient path to
spiritual growth enshrined in the Vedas and
the Upanishads. Only by truly understanding
its origins, philosophy and practices can we fully
explore the limitless spiritual terrain it can lead
us into.
This unique book describes in detail the principles
and spiritual origins of Yoga, (Hatha, Karma,
Bhakti, Raja, Jnana and Asparsa Yogas), as well as
the complex and comprehensive commitment each of us
must make to practice it fully. It covers the
various branches of Yoga, its philosophical vision,
and the practice of Yoga ethics, abstinence and
observances.
Through the wisdom and insights offered in this
book we come to understand that Yoga, in its
various forms, is the bridge that leads the soul
that is inside us to the Soul Divine.

Self
and Non-Self
The
Drigdrisyaviveka Attributed to Shankara
"In
it there is no plurality whatsoever. He who sees
multiplicity in It (Brahman) simply passes from one
death to another. That second thing is not. There
is only One who has no second"
Self and Non-Self is an extensive commentary
by Raphael on the forty-six sutras of
Drigdrisyaviveka attributed to Shankara, a
work which is an essential introduction to Advaita
Vedanta (non-dualism) texts. The work is the first
translation into English of the
Drigdrisyaviveka, and also contains a full
transliteration of the Sanskrit original.
The book examines the fundamental philosophical
problem - that of Subject and Object.
Drigdrisyaviveka is a rational and
discriminative by which to separate the observer
(drig) from the object (drisya) - the Self from the
Non-Self.
Raphael remains faithful to the Vedanta Tradition
while adopting a conceptual methodology that
renders the work accessible to the Western reader.
Among the matters considered in the text are
aspects of jiva, the two powers of maya, various
types of karma and the four Vedic mantras. Self
and Non-Self serves as a practical guide to
following this doctrine step by step.

Beyond
The Illusion Of The Ego
Synthesis of
a realizative process
Maturity, that is often gained under the hammer of
suffering, sooner or later will force us to remove
the Eye of intelligence from things, that are not
(world of duality) and direct it toward the
splendour of one's own essential nature.
Undoubtedly, this implies an overturning of values,
a psychological revolution, tending no longer
toward the ineffective and unfruitful horizontal
line, but toward the vertical one leading to
awakening, to the unveiling of marvelous
potentialities, the prerogative of the human
soul.
"I
will give you the keys to open the door of the
Temple. In It you will find the regenerating Fire
that will expand you as much as creation, the
flaming sword to fight the blinding darkness, the
resplendent and constant Truth."
Raphael is an author and a teacher in the Western
Metaphysical Tradition as well as in the Vedanta
one. In the past 35 years, he has written several
books on the pathway of non-duality 'Advaita'. He
has also translated and commented a number of key
Vedantic texts from the original Sanskrit. His
entire work represents a conscious reunification of
Western and eastern Traditions in the One Tradition
of Metaphysics. Founder of the Asram Vidya Order,
Raphael is now dedicating himself entirely to the
spiritual practice. He lives in a hermitage
connected to the ashram and devotes himself
completely to a vow of silence.

At
the Source of Life
Questions and
Answers concerning the Ultimately
Reality
"Can
light desire light being itself light? Can
knowledge desire knowledge, being itself
knowledge?
Can life desire life being itself life? Can love
desire love, being itself love?"
This book is
presented in dialogue form. Wherever there is a
question there is usually a void that needs to be
filled, a lack of knowledge to highlight, a doubt
to clarify, hence a truth that needs only to be
unveiled, because "all is within ourselves" and
that truth will be found in the depths of our
being. Based on this certainty Raphael often
answers one question with another question and
forces the inquirer to delve into himself until he
finds what he was looking for.
This book is clearly aimed at leading the reader to
the "Source of Life". It depicts the whole of man's
psychic and intellectual make-up, it indicates his
ideals, his deviations, and his weaknesses, it
underlines his conflicts and sufferings, it looks
for their cause, and at the same time it
investigates the Ultimate Reality as well as man's
position towards it.

The
Threefold Pathway of Fire
Thoughts That
Vibrate
With The Threefold Pathway of Fire Raphael
offers an answer to the authentic sense of quest of
many, a path that may lead to the unveiling of our
own real and intrinsic nature, which is
Complete-Beautitude. This book is divided into
three sections corresponding to the three
sadhanas of the Pathway of Fire:
Alchemy, Love of Beauty, Traditional Metaphysics.
These three 'ways' to realisation do not exclude
each other but often intersect and integrate in a
harmony whose vibrations depend on one's approach,
on one's energy potential, on one's Fire. Raphael
presents the three paths through a synthesis that
radiates his consciential experience.
"Do
you think of being born and of dying? Do you
incline towards death? Do you live in apathy
awaiting your 'departure' as the balm to heal all
your sufferings? I must tell you that however much
you yearn for it and hope for it, you will never
die. The greatest joke that life can play on you -
oh you who venerate the God of death - is that of
making you eternal, of placing you in timelessness.
In the world of Reality there is no place for
coming and going, for birth and death."

RAPHAEL
Initiation into the Philosophy of
Plato
The author explains that to appreciate the
philosophy of Plato we need to realise that it is
not just an intellectual pursuit, but rather a
guide to discovering our true nature and our
relationship to the vast creation in which we live.
This involves a radical reversing of our perception
of reality and life.
We ordinarily think of the real as the solid
objects we can see and handle, identify knowledge
with the information provided by the senses and
consider the good as nothing but pleasant
experiences. According to Plato this is a very
superficial view of life, and he points out that
everything that is perceptible to the senses is
transient, constantly changing. He advises those
who wish to enquire more deeply into the meaning of
life to look behind appearances for that which does
not change, for that which is ever the same - 'the
ever fixed mark'.
An interesting feature of this book is the
comparison made between Plato and Shankara, the
great exponent of Advaita, the ancient
philosophical tradition of India. They are both
ways of self-realisation or liberation.
Raphael is the founder of the Asram Vidya Order in
Rome and is himself a teacher in this ancient
tradition, drawing inspiration from both East and
West. He has written a number of books and
translated some of Shankara's works and some
Upanishads into Italian.

Tat
Tvam Asi - That Thou Art - TEMPORARILY
UNAVAILABLE -
The Path of
Fire according to Asparsa Yoga
That Thou Art is the most profound message
that the Upanishads offer to restless and
striving men. It is the essence and synthesis of
the teaching of Asparsa Yoga, the Yoga of
Non-duality.
This book is in the form of a dialogue between
Antonio a searcher, and Raphael. Antonio has gone
through every kind of experience without ever
finding a solution to his existential problems.
With Raphael, he begins a 'realisation training'
which gradually transfigures his restless and
dissatisfied consciousness.

RAPHAEL - TEMPORARILY
UNAVAILABLE -
The
Pathway of Non-Duality -
Advaitavada
"In
individuation there is conflict and suffering
because the emphasis is placed not on the
Being-Essence, but on the false representation that
one has of oneself."
Raphael is the founder of the Asram Vidya Order in
Italy. He is a practising Asparsin who after over
35 years of teaching, lives in a Hermitage,
devoting himself completely to silence. Raphael,
using a conceptual methodology in keeping with the
characteristics of the Western mind elucidates the
'vision' of Gaudapada and Shankara. This book is
composed of a series of questions and answers
regarding several main aspects of non-duality
(Advaita). Some of the subjects taken up are: 'Real
and non-real', 'Metaphysical realisation',
'Experiencer and experienced object', 'Parmenides
and his vision'.
